Pre-Departure Checklist
For First Time International Travelers

Organize Your Packing Keep anything you use everyday in a small bag that you can carry onto the airplane. Keep your travel documents with you at all times. Mark your baggage with your name and address in your country destination. Also mark the inside of your suitcase too.

Departure Be at the airport two hours before your flight.
Go to Terminal II. Find the check in gate with your flight number and destination. Stand in line, prepare to show your ticket and passport to the guard. Check your baggage and yourself through the x-ray scanner. Find the check in area with your flight number and destination.

Stand in line and check your baggage. Present your passport and airline ticket to the officer. You will be assigned : - window – isle - all flights are now non-smoking Ask for check- in through to your last destination You will receive a boarding pass and baggage receipt. (please check the arrival airport on the baggage receipt) You must pay the airport tax (Rp ,-). Fill-in “Kartu Keberangkatan/Kedatangan” Find the Fiscal Counter represent by Banks, show your boarding pass and passport and pay the Rp ,-.

Documents on-hand: passport, ticket Have your luggage checked - in Pay airport tax IDR 100,000 You will get boarding pass and luggage tag Pay fiscal IDR 1,000,000 at casher You can go out side - DINNER Go through immigration Give departure card (keep arrival card) Go to your GATE (see boarding pass) Bye.. Bye..

Go through passport control area be ready with your fiscal receipt, passport and ticket. Go through Immigration and show your passport and boarding pass. Your passport will be stamped, keep the arrival card (Kartu Kedatangan) safely. When you are through Immigration, please go to the departure gate on your boarding pass.

The Flight Jet lag due to crossing many time zones.
During stop over, you might want to go to the transit lounge, especially if it is a long stop (a couple of hours). Arrival: Have your documents ready.

Chemical name of prescription drugs you use First aid kit (common medicines) Prescription for glasses or bring extras. Items for personal hygiene to last you for a few weeks. A large and small towel. Make-up/shaving supplies for the first month. Books/materials for research (optional).

Dictionary (optional) 1 book or novel in Bahasa Indonesia Favorite recipes for Indonesian food. Small packages of spices. Picture of your family, hometown. Pictures or postcards of Indonesia. Map of Indonesia.

Cassette/CD/VCD of Indonesia music (optional). Small souvenirs or gifts for “new” friends. A supply of writing paper and airmail envelopes to last a few weeks (optional), nowadays it is common to or SMS.

Toothbrush – toothpaste Facial soap Lip balm Eye drop Necessary medicine Body spray (<100 ml) etc
