What Is Different From Last Year?
Health is no longer being taught by a special area teacher. The general education classroom teacher (in this class, Mrs. Neavear) will be teaching Health weekly, following the curriculum developed by our Physical Education teachers. Spanish is now being integrated into grades kindergarten, first and second. While not a major subject, we will be introducing vocabulary via short lessons. We will be making Spanish words part of our everyday print-rich environment.

What Can I Do to Help? Sign up to be a room parent or help with parties. Sign/initial agenda book and reading log every night. If your child is unable to complete homework, please don’t stress! Simply write on the paper that it was too difficult. Provide a quiet spot for your child to read and do homework. Read with your child. Look through your child’s folder. Ask your child questions about what you find in there!
