14 Some Program Facts FY2016 Will County Health Department (WCHD) had 919 open/active consumers in the Adult Behavioral Health (BH) program, of which 763 required psychiatric services Fall of 2016 we began integrating adult BH psychiatry with primary care at our Community Health Center Providing psychiatry through our FQHC triples our reimbursement rate for services- from DHS to the federal government May 2016 we eliminated 55 positions due to the state’s inability to pay, and low reimbursement rate

15 More… Overall, the Health Department employs approximately 100 less employees than 8 years ago May of 2016 we eliminated the Family Case Management program and now concentrate only on High Risk Families DCFS HealthWorks program- we continue to have a higher case load, but no substantial increase in funding Better Birth Outcomes program was initially Targeted Intensive Prenatal Case Management, but again changed to focus on higher risk moms

16 Where Are We Seeing Improvements?
Tobacco Use Declining Childhood Obesity Declining Unemployment Declining Medically Uninsured Population Declining Adolescent Pregnancy Rate and Percentage Declining Prostate Cancer Deaths Declining HIV/AIDS Cases Heavily Declining Life Expectancy is higher in Will County than Illinois or US MAPP Involvement and Partnerships Increasing Unemployment- 7% from 10.4% Medically uninsured- down to 9%
