2. School tour.
One mum Jude said
" the only autism I knew was my boy Chase, so to see other kids present differently to my boy I found very difficult on the school tour and I started to cry. I was initially embarrassed but one of the staff members took me into a spare room and sat with me while I pulled myself together. Eventually I did the tour on my own and staff were very accommodating and supportive of my needs."

" I was pleasantly surprised the school offered to come to my home for the pre enrolment interview. My son Tom gets very anxious and stressed visiting new environments and I was concerned about what he might do if we had to attend the school for the meeting. Having the staff attend our home was much more relaxing and I felt I could open up a little more and offer more honest answers to their questions. The only stress for me was making sure the house was clean and tidy".
