Teacher Recommendation Balance of Overall Courseload Interest Outside Time Commitments No Tracking Work Through the Rigor: Drop Add Form in May All Changes to Course Requests due June 16th No Elective Changes after that point Any Level Change Requests during the year would follow HHS course change request procedure GPA: Weight and Impact (Honors & Dual Enrolled = 0.5, AP = 1.0) Expunging High School Grades Received in Middle School

Beginning of School Until One Week After First Quarter Report Cards: No academic record on transcript No impact on GPA After First Quarter Report Cards Until End of First Semester: ‘F’ penalty for the semester grade Semester grade recorded on transcript No credit awarded Half-attempt factored into GPA End of First Semester Until One Week After Second Quarter Report Cards: Impact of Dropping a Course All requests to drop must go through the Heritage High School Course Change Request Procedure to include: -Attempted Strategies for Success -Parent, Teacher, Counselor, Student Input and Communication -Approval by School Administrator -Process Facilitated by School Counselor -Space may be limited in other available classes

Use your agenda Do your homework on the same day it is assigned Check teacher’s webpage & Vision page Ask questions (in class or ) Check StudentVUE for grades Communicate with your teacher Get involved, maintain a balance Set goals Surround yourself with those who are also working toward their goals
