Wednesday 28th Feb to Friday 2nd Mar 2018 PGL is the UK's leading provider of school trips and children's adventure holidays - offering outdoor education and adventures of a lifetime to children since 1957.

2 Caythorpe Court PGL was founded in 1957 by Peter Gordon Lawrence and has been operating courses for schools and colleges for more than 50 years. During this time more than 3 million children and young people have benefited from a PGL experience. Each year more than 4,000 schools trust their school trip to PGL.

3 Where is it? Caythorpe Court near Grantham, Lincolnshire is a Grade II listed mansion house set in 65 acres of grounds. A £5 million pound investment. It is situated close to Sherwood Forest, only an hour from Leicester.

8 Healthy Eating A range of dishes are provided that are fresh, tasty and nutritious whilst being attractive to children’s palates. It is a matter of pride and principle for PGL staff that no child leaves the dining room hungry!

Underwear, Pairs of Socks (including plenty of spares) Trousers (No Jeans – except for Disco) T-Shirts, Shorts (Long sleeved top for archery) Tracksuit Jumper/Sweatshirt/Fleece Waterproof Jacket/Anorak Waterproof Trousers or trousers that can get muddy

Trainers or other substantial footwear (that can get wet and muddy) Water Bottle There is no need to splash out on new clothing. Labelling items of clothing makes finding them much easier!

17 Staffing and Costs School Staff on a 1:8 pupil ratio £179 per pupil

18 Bits and Pieces Medication – Labelled and given in to staff
Money - £5 max for the shop Luggage – Remember at all times that your child has to be able to lift and move their case on their own. Sweets – Can be taken but not in excessive amounts. They will be collected in and the teachers will run ‘Sweet Hours’ throughout the day. Please ensure all sweet packets are clearly labelled with the children’s names.
