Timetable What your child will need:
Everyday they should bring in their water bottle, reading book and reading record book. Letters from parents to be given to the teacher at the beginning of the morning (during register time) Tuesday and Thursday – P.E. Wednesday – swimming in the Autumn term. Guitar lessons. Friday – singing lessons. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – soft start.

Expectations To move around the school in a safe manner, respect others and school property. To follow lunch hall and playground rules. To become more independent and involved in their learning. That they take pride in their work and present their work to a high standard - writing in pencil or blue pen if they have received their pen licence. To build on their previous year’s learning so that they continue to move forward. That they take responsibility for their learning, behaviour, equipment and learning environment. That work is completed and handed in on time so that feedback can be given and acted upon. Behaviour – to follow the Mission Prayer.

Home learning will be given on a:
Wednesday – talk home learning – RE the ‘Wednesday Word’ Friday – English – comprehension task , SPAG task, spelling and a Maths task. On-going –Time tables and daily reading (please comment and sign reading records). Home learning folders – learning should be of the same standard expected in class (neat presentation) . Folders to be kept tidy and returned to school by Tuesday. If your child needs support with the task, please write a comment in their folder so that I can help. Late home learning will not be marked.

Assembly and Trips AUTUMN TERM Class Assembly 23rd September
Year 4, 5, 6 trip to the Ballet th September Parent Consultations - 5th October Pilgrimage to St Albans - 8th October Parent Consultations - 12th October One World Week - 17th – 21st October – Y5 are going to focus on India. Please let me know if you (or someone you know) have any Indian items of interest. Trip to Greenwich Observatory 15th December

P.E The children will have a P.E lessons on Tuesday and Thursday. School P.E. Kit, a change of socks and trainers to be worn. Please pack a tracksuit or leggings for colder days. Swimming will start on Wednesday 14th September children must bring a small swimming bag, with towel, swimwear, goggles. Anyone with long hair will need a hat. Girls must wear socks on this day. Please leave P.E kits in school for half a term. We will send them home earlier if they are in need of a wash! If your child takes part in an after school sports club please send in another kit (shorts and t-shirt etc) so that P.E. Kits do not go missing.

Remember that if you have any concerns then please come and speak to me. I, like you, want the best for your child and therefore I should be your first port of call. Mrs Lennox will be happy to make an appointment for you and I will be more than happy to meet with you – before or after school. Myself, Miss Sowden, Mrs McDonald, Mr Dugan, Mr Reid and Mrs McNamara look forward to working in partnership with yourselves and your child, and we hope it will be a happy and productive year.
