5 How long are the lessons?
25-30 minutes long. Approximately 10 lessons per term. Minimum of 30 lessons per year. These include workshops and concerts. The number of lessons may be reduced because of outings, school journeys and other school activities. No refunds are made or lessons replaced.

6 How many instruments can my child learn?
One instrument. Your child cannot learn the same instrument in school as well as with another teacher out of school. We ask for your first and second choice of instrument, so if there are insufficient places or the cost is too high for your first choice, we will try to offer you your second choice of instrument.

7 How to get started? Enrolment forms available here and from the school office. Complete enrolment form and return it to the school office no later than Tuesday 21st March. LATE FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

8 How much will it cost? Harrow Music Service (HMS) are our music provider. They are a not for profit organisation. Costs vary depending on the instrument and the number of children signing up to lessons. The more children that sign up for an instrument the cheaper the lessons will be.

9 How much will it cost? The best value for money for guitar/violin tuition is represented by one hour of a music teacher’s time shared between 2 groups of 4 children learning the same instruments. E.g. If 8 children signed up for violin, they would pay £ for the whole year. However if only 4 children decided to do it, it would cost £ per child.

10 Financial commitment Have to pay for the whole year up front/before having any lessons. Total is non-refundable regardless of whether your child attends the lessons or changes school. Total cost for the year’s tuition is payable by Monday 1st May 2017 via ParentMail +Pay. You will be expected to provide an instrument for your child to play.

11 Financial commitment If your child wishes to stop lessons through the term, for whatever reason, you will still be required to pay the full annual fee. Cannot change instrument once lessons have started. Please fill out the box that says maximum amount you are willing to pay for lessons.

12 Practice and examinations
Once an instrument has been taken up, practice is essential so progress can be made. Children will be entered for exams if the music teacher considers it to be in the best interest of the child.
