EDI arranged a visit by Dr. Jagmohan of IICPT and gave hand holding support on process development which again was followed up by Sri KK Saw who advised machine improvement through addition of small attachments. Sri Das was taken to Ahmadabad for a exposure trip where he got the chance to see modern mustard oil extraction plant. There after coming back , he was given constant support to diversify into mustard oil extraction unit. He was given linkage with IDBI bank for diversification of the project. But since documentation took time and he is yet to get bank support , he did not hesitate to put all his savings and also borrowing funds from private sources to kick start the project. Finally he procured a modern machine from Rajkot of Gujarat and started operating a modern mustard oil extraction unit at Goreswar from Dec.2015.He is selling his product in the brand name “ ISHA OIL”.

Problem Faced Not being able to generate interest amongst 1st generation Entrepreneurs inspite of Awareness & other Programmes. Grounding rate of Enterprises not upto expectation. Lack of Technical support. Response from Bank not encouraging . Entrepreneurs are more concerned about subsidy. Lack of organised market. Most of the Entrepreneurs are small time player’s for bringing adequate promoter’s contribution. Lack of collateral / additional security.
