Planners

Planners: Planners are provided by the school and are to be kept in the one-inch binder. Students are expected to fill out their planner daily with any homework and/or reminders. Parents are expected to check and sign their student’s planner daily. Type in your classroom rules.

Homework: Homework is an extension of what is being taught in class.
Will be written in their planner Is due the following school day or on a given date Students are expected to complete their homework & turn it in on time. Please let me know if your child is having a difficult time completing their homework. Type in your classroom rules.

STARBASE Insert time.

STARBASE: Our class attends STARBASE August 24, 25, 28, 29, and 30th.
Takes place at the Air National Guard during school hours, so no chaperones are required. A permission slip MUST be filled out and turned in to attend. Please return it Monday, August 21st. No homework is assigned during our week of STARBASE! (except for spelling words) Students may bring a packed lunch from home or purchase a packed lunch from school. Type in your classroom rules.

We encourage students not to bring them to school, but if they do they must remain in their backpacks and TURNED OFF! I-Pads will be used this school year. More information to come. Type in your classroom rules.

Backpack, pencils (no lead or mechanical), loose-leaf paper, 5 single subject notebooks, 1: 3 ring (1 inch only) binder, 1 box colored pencils or markers, Expo dry erase markers, 1 old (but clean) sock, 1-2 highlighters, glue sticks, and earbuds Donations welcome for the following: tissues, Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, index cards, Ziploc bags (all sizes), and chapter books for grades 3-7 Please feel free to take a “post-it-note” from the board and contribute supplies to the Classroom. Not mandatory, but very appreciated Type in your classroom rules.

School Forms: Please make sure that all of your child’s forms are filled out and returned to school as soon as possible Double check names and phone numbers. Please have 2 emergency contacts, if possible You will need to send in a note if someone who is not listed on the emergency card is picking up your child BCS Handbook is available on-line Type in your classroom rules.

Field Trips: Please visit BCS website for volunteer/chaperone information and instructions on how to register. Level 1 and Level 2 options available Field trip location is to be determined by the 5th grade teachers and Mrs. Frye. More information will be coming home throughout the school year. Parent Pick Up & Drop Off

Parent Pick Up & Drop Off
Parent drop off and pick up take place in the back of the school. Doors open at 8:20 and students should arrive before 8:45. Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:15. You must come into the school through the back doors to sign your child out. You may be asked for ID, so please be prepared. Safety is our number one concern. Type in your classroom rules.
