Students in AVID8 are expected to:
Come to class prepared to learn each day Respect your classmates, your teacher, and yourself. Participate in all group activities Complete all class work, assignments, and participate in the Tutorial Sessions. Students in AVID8 are expected to:

AVID Elective Curriculum

Classwork: We will do AVID lessons on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Classwork: We will do AVID lessons on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. These assignments will focus on literacy, study skills, and organizational skills. These assignments will be given a grade of +, , or - or graded formally using rubrics. Grading Policy

Tutorials will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Your children will be working in groups supervised by college tutors. These groups will help them answer questions that they have in their academic classes. Your children will be expected to complete a Tutorial Request Form prior to Tutorial sessions. These forms will be graded and will be used to help calculate the Tutorial grade each quarter. Binders are evaluated on a regular basis!
Required Binder Contents • 3-ring binder with 3 inch rings • Colored dividers to separate each academic class • Zipper pouch to store supplies • Two pens and two pencils • Loose Leaf paper • Planner • One Eraser and one highlighter Binder Expectations
