Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family
a large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, designed by Catalan Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) Gaudí's outstanding work on the building is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site It is under construction since 1882,its estimated completion is set for 2026 The first emperor : Francisco de Paul del Villar is a striking example of Gaudi's unique Art Nouveau architecture and is filled with religious symbolism and meaning When Gaudí died in 1926, the monument was between 15 and 25 percent complete

Elaborate floor plan of the temple has the shape of a cross and inside are unique Gaudi columns and arches The dominant feature of the temple is a spiral tower - after completing their will 18 (symbolizing the apostles, evangelists, Mary and Jesus Christ) the temple will be the final capacity to 13 thousand visitors

3 Facades The basilica has three facades, which are also filled with precise symbolism: the Passion Facade on the west; the Nativity Facade on the east; and the Glory Facade on the south Each facade has three portals representing the virtues of Faith, Hope and Love

You can take elevators to the top of the inside of the Nativity Facade and Passion Facade, or climb 400 steps You can also visit the tower of the temple, from which amazing views of Barcelona
