3 The basic elements of a sentence
A sentence must contain a 1) subject and 2) predicate which together 3) express a complete thought. The subject and predicate may consist of more than one word.

4 Sentence ingredients defined:
Subject- names whom or what the sentence is about Predicate- tells what the subject does or has. It can also tell what the subject is or is like. When you find the verb, you find the predicate!
