3. National Youth Leadership Training (pt. 1)
Description: NYLT is an exciting, action-packed program designed for councils to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home crews. The program is usually presented by individual Scout councils in a week-long program, although it can be split over two weekends.

4. National Youth Leadership Training (pt. 2)
Purpose: Develop an in-depth understanding of leadership skills; live out the life of one month in a Scout unit
Prerequisite: Introduction to Leadership Skills
Content: Leadership skills, outdoor programming implied
Methods: Residential camp setting, development and application of leadership skills
Outcome: Increased exposure to leadership skills and increased capacity to use and apply those skills

5. National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (pt. 1)
Description: NAYLE is an exciting program where Venturers can enhance their leadership skills at the National High Adventure bases. Scouts will expand upon team-building and ethical decision-making skills learned in National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT).

6. National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (pt. 2)
Purpose: To fully internalize the ability to apply Scouting’s leadership skills and commit to functioning as a servant leader
Prerequisite: National Youth Leadership Training
Content: High adventure activities are used as a framework to deliver leadership skills
Methods: Outdoor adventure, team development activities, taught at National High Adventure Bases
Outcome: Commitment to functioning as a servant leader, greater facility with leadership skills

7. Kodiak Challenge (pt. 1)
Description: Kodiak Challenge Treks are centered around a challenging 5-day or two-3 day weekend trek. Kodiak teaches leadership skills in a fun way that is internalized by the participants. Kodiak is not taught indoors or in a classroom; it is done completely outdoors using nature’s examples of leadership.

8. Kodiak Challenge (pt. 2)
Purpose: Develop leadership skills within a youth-designed outing
Prerequisite: Introduction to Leadership Skills
Content: Leadership skills and skills specific to the adventure selected by the youth. Goal is to be part of the delivery model for all unit-level adventures: you plan it, you implement it, and you learn about leadership along the way
Methods: Development of leadership skills through an experiential education model
Outcome: Further development of leadership skills in the context of a challenging adventure

9. Powder Horn (pt. 1)
Description: Powder Horn is a high-adventure resource-management course designed to educate adult and youth involved in the Venturing program about the Ranger Award. This course will give all participants an opportunity to experience the Ranger Award program themselves, and become knowledgeable about how to safely conduct outdoor activities of a fun and challenging nature.

10. Powder Horn (pt. 2)
Purpose: Outdoor/High Adventure resource management course designed to motivate and prepare adult and youth leaders to provide their unit with safe and correct Outdoor/High Adventure activities
Prerequisite: Age 14, approval of unit leader
Content: Exposure to high adventure skills and access to consultants
Methods: Playtime and reflection
Outcome: Participants better able to support unit-level high adventure programming
