2 Compound subjects A Compound Subject is a subject with two or more nouns or pronouns joined by the word and or another conjunction. Compound subjects share the same predicate. Example: Dan and Mike went to the store and bought some gum. Dan- subject Mike- subject More than one subject= compound subject

3 Compound predicates A Compound Predicate is apredicate with two or more verbs joined by the word and or another conjunction. Compound predicates share the same subject. Example: Harry went to the bathroom and washed his hands. Harry did two things: Harry went to the bathroom. Harry washed his hands.

4 Here are some other examples:
1. Ray reads and studies in the library The puppy whimpered and cried for its mother We cheered for the team and ate hotdogs The old house creaked and groaned in the wind.
