2014 Chardonnay, Napa Valley Grapes from cooler climate south Napa Valley and Carneros where the fog and bay breazes creates a cooler climate ideal for Chardonnay Handpicked, fermented and aged for eight months in French oak, 21% new. Classic Napa Valley Chardonnay characteristics indicative of the region: Vanilla, caramel, honey melon, baked apple crisp, toasted coconut, soft, balanced acidity v. 2013: 90pts Wine Enthusiast, v. 2014: 94pts Tastings.com, v. 2015: 90pts Tasting Panel 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley Sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Napa Valley including Atlas Peak and Spring Mountain. Handpicked, day maceration to maximize color and flavor extraction, then transferred to French oak barrels to undergo malolactic fermentation. Aged for 10 months in 100% French oak barrels. Black cherry, cola, earth, spice, dark fruit, cherry pie, toasted pie crust, dried herbs, vanilla 2014 V Collection Chardonnay Mueller and Cabral vineyard fruit from Carneros in South Napa including Clone 5, Wente clone, and Cabral selections. These vineyards are level and contain thin clay soils, frequent wind and cloud cover giving fruit extended ripening period. Aged 11 months, 100% French oak (33% new). Lemon peel, tangerine, pineapple, lemon, caramel, refreshing acidity 2014 V Collection Pinot Noir Sourced from the Moretti Carneros vineyard with flat, thin clay soil and frequent wind and cloud cover. Also contains fruit from the Mueller vineyard in Carneros. With mild slope and clay loam soils, these grapes are exposed to ideal growing conditions. Aged 17 months, 100% French Oak (36% new). Aromas of plum, strawberry, boysenberry, with viscous, medium bodied tannins of mocha, spice, and caramel 2013 V Collection Cabernet Sauvignon Sourced from the southern portion of the Saint Helena AVA from a level site with deep, loamy soils, good sun exposure, and excellent air circulation. About half of the grapes are clone 337 (red fruit, firm tannin) and the other portion is clone 7 (dark fruit, plush tannin). Aged 26 months, 100% French oak (46% new).
