Enrichment Enrichment will be different each day. (Art, Counseling, Keyboarding, Music/Band, P.E. – 2 days each week) Your child may be pulled for literacy, math resource groups, or additional services during enrichment.

Weekly behavior sheets (tan manila folder) Green Communicator Folder Blue Math Folder PIG – on the website Phone calls, s, & notes Forms for teachers to fill in from doctors, etc. – please give us at least a week to get those back to you **** PLEASE consistenly check folders**** *Tan behavior folders: indicators are same as what will be on report cards *Green folder: field trip permission slips, important documents to be sent back to school – should remain in your child’s school bag

Homework Purpose: review of a skill OR preparation for upcoming skill
Agenda: copied daily; most accurate assignment Homework should be done independently, and then they may be reviewed with a parent.

Grading Scale A: 93%- 100% B: 85%- 92% C: 75%- 84% D: 67%- 74%
F : 66% or lower Formative + Summative = Final Grade Progress Reports: approximately middle of quarter **Some technology-based assessment components** *Check PowerSchool for gradebook!

Science & Social Studies
Social Studies- Quarters 1 & 3 Science- Quarters 2 & 4 Each quarter students will be assessed with 7 formative and 3 summative grades (except for the 4th quarter).

Parties/invitations/birthdays
Holiday celebrations: Students can bring individually wrapped snacks for each student (Ex: Little Debbie cakes, etc.) Invitations: Students can only pass out party invitations if ALL students are invited or all girls / all boys. Birthdays: Parents can drop off treats before lunch (11:30) but are not permitted to stay.

Dismissal Please write a note indicating any change in dismissal for your child, and send it to school with your child; they will be sent straight to the office to have a copy made of that note This is especially important on half-days

Test papers, progress reports, forms, report cards, conferences, phone calls
Only legal guardians of students may sign important papers, attend parent-teacher conferences, participate in phone calls/conferences, and receive the report cards. Security/Safe School Change: At the front office, there will be a scanner so please bring your ID. Please fill out parent information paper.

Lunch If your child has received free and reduced lunch in the past, you will need to re-apply this year so that your child can still receive this service. Please refer to the Student Handbook for guidelines on acceptable lunch items; if you buy hot lunch, no additional snacks may be brought into the lunchroom If you come to eat lunch with your child, ONLY your child may eat with you during that time (no other students may join you)

Inbox Forms Please read carefully and sign all mandatory forms. Return forms to school along with the $8 supply fee.

Student Info We suggest that any appointments that are made be scheduled prior to 10:00, as this is the time at which core classes begin. If you would like to discuss any additional information about your child, please call and schedule a conference. The best time to contact us is 9:10-9:45.
