1 The Academy of Master Clinicians Guest Lectureship
Induction Ceremony and Inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award/Reception The Academy of Master Clinicians will host its Guest Lecturer, Paul L. Kuehnert, DNP, RN, FAAN on April 12, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Levin Hall Main Auditorium. The Inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient, Courtney M. Townsend, Jr., MD, will be honored. The Induction of the 2017 Class of Master Clinicians will follow at 5 p.m. A reception immediately following the ceremony. Dr. Kuehnert is Assistant Vice President for Program staff providing leadership and management support across programmatic efforts to build a Culture of Health at Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). Dr. Kuehnert is a pediatric nurse practitioner and holds the Doctor of Nursing Practice in executive leadership as well as the Master of Science in public health nursing degrees. Dr. Kuehnert will give his lecture on “Excellence, Ethics and Community:  Sustaining Commitments as a Master Clinician”. CME/CNE credit will be given to faculty who attend the lecture. CME Certification The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston designates this educational activity for 1 hour of credit in medical ethics/professional responsibility, as required for physicians by the Texas Medical Board.
