WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THIS STORY?
There is strength in UNITY amongst people with a common destiny
Unity leads to great accomplishments.
Unity of purpose/vision guarantees great success whether for good or for evil
Children or agents of Satan can record great accomplishments if united
Children of God who are dis-united “Scattered” will fail in their endeared
When children or Agents of Satan are united in a course, it will take only God’s intervention for their course to fail (Isaiah 59:19b)

A NATION with a dis-united people will not go far in terms of progress or accomplishments, no matter how well endeared with human, material or spiritual resources, they may be (Nehemiah 4:16)

THE STATE OF A NATION:- is reflective of the state of the church.
DIS-UNITY WITHIN THE BODY OF CHRIST (The Church) will lead to dis-unity within the nation or dis-unity within the church will cause dis-unity within the nation to persist and consequently lead to progress.
THE CHURCH should be a representation of the divergent peoples, tribes, tongues of a nation. If the church is united, despite diversities, thIs will extend to the nation and also better position it for Gods work and healing of the land. (2 Chronicles 7: 14)

JESUS all throughout His Ministry, emphasized to the disciples the need for them to be one

EARLY CHURCH – Despite their diversities in language, tribe etc. (Acts2:5-12), was united (Acts:2:41-47), hence recorded great success in the work of evangelism and had great influence on the nations in existence during their time.

WHEN THE CHURCH IS UNITED, more Grace, wisdom, strength is made available by God, for the transformation of the nations.. Ps. 133, Phil. 2:13, 2 Cor. 9:8
GOD HATES DIS-UNITY within the church because it slows down or may frustrate His work of transforming the nation, hence when He sees things that could lead to this, He deals with them decisively (Acts 5 Ananias & Saphira)

THINGS THAT CAN FORSTER UNITY WITHIN THE CHURCH
Truthfulness
Elimination of jealousy, backbiting
Manifestation of love of one another and care for one another
Assembling together on a regular basis not just for spiritual purpose, but for socials etc.
Visitations
Prayer

To do everything within my power to foster unity within my church, home, place of work, body of Christ in general

HOLY COMMUNION: meant to symbolized the oneness of the BODY OF CHRIST. (1 Cor. 11:17-22)
