Born in Daqing, 1962
Graduated from Hebei university in 1983 majoring in oil painting
Moved from being an electrician, to an artist
In 1991, he moved to Yuanmingyuan to follow his career as a painter
Best known for the laughing character in many of his pieces

The laughing faces represent the feelings of the people after China’s reform, sad and happy at the same time
His art is a mixture of two contradictory feelings, miserable and pessimistic, but delightful and joyful
