Why Schedules? Students Proactive Schedule their day
Line of defense against plagiarism Staff Day mapping Accountability Equity- scattering tutors Empower -vs- Enable Budget Resources Reports Instructors (Registrations) Administration (Visits and Appointment Data) Evaluate peak time trends (Attendance by hour by day of week) & Schedule Staff Accordingly
5
Check-In Kiosk Student signs-in and the front desk staff are able to verify events such as slowness, no classes populating, and name not appearing.
6
After checking in, the student can work independently, or visit with a tutor.
7
He/she will either go directly to their scheduled tutor, or ask the front desk staff for assistance. The front desk staff will ask to see the student’s confirmation and direct the student to wait near the tutor’s desk. Also, the staff will inform the tutor of the arrival of the next appointment.

The student checks-out before leaving. She chooses the tutor who assisted her. Also, she has the option to make a comment.

At the appointment: The tutor verifies student’s Identification
Clicks on the appointment and marks it Attended Reviews any notes the student included If needed, the tutor may decide to make notes at the end of a visit
14
Words of Wisdom from the Tutors
The tutors are strategically positioned in the lab so they do not tutor at their desks. During peak times, the tutors are booked back-to-back, and by going back to make notes regarding the visits, they are able to get in more of their steps. (very important) Allows the tutor an opportunity to gently end the appointment.
15
Appointment Preferences
A few Preferences we use: One 30 minute appointment per day per subject Appointments cannot be made 50 minutes before the available appointment time. No cancellation within 24 hours Appointment Status Choices are: Missed, Attended, Cancelled, and Cancelled/Rescheduled (see ) Block Students from booking recurring appointments Display Notes section- student add comments Contact phone number By setting preferences, appointments can automatically be marked each night, however we do not use this feature.
