12 Engenharia REPAIR PROPOSAL PAGE 12
REPAIR PROPOSAL (DAMAGE 3 AND DAMAGE 4): Perform surface protection of the repair area I.A.W. A320 SRM and SRM Perform restored surface protection in accordance with A320 SRM Could the AIB consider the already performed repair as a temporary repair until next C check, that will occur in no more than 6000 FC or 24 months? NOTE: A response within 4 hours is required one time it is an AOG situation. If the temporary repair is considered acceptable, could the AIB provide us the RDAS Number in advanced? Our New Reference for issue the RDAS: MS/ST /00. Engenharia

13 Engenharia CLARIFICATION PAGE 13
Our new Reference: MS/ST /01 Your reference: /005 In response to message ref /005: AIRBUS request: 1. Please could AVA confirm the Aircraft type & MSN in question? It is noted on the damage report it quotes A320 while within the applied actions it refers to SRM A318. 2. Damages 3 & 4 are shown in relation to AOA Sensor. Has the SRM been consulted ( Aerodynamic Requirements for Allowable Damage Angle of Attack Probes ) ONE answer: 1. The AVA confirms the serial (MSN: 4941) and type of aircraft (A ) and made the necessary corrections regarding current actions on page 11. 2. For 3 damage & 4 were checked the definition of areas (Angle of Attack Sensors - Definition of Areas) according to Figure 106 and this out area of the Angle of Attack sensor center (450mm > 250 = R9) and were checked defining characteristic parameters Damage and Repair and Aerodynamic Requirements and are within the Requirements for allowable damages and repairs (D= 2,8mm > 2,5 (contact Airbus) and d = 450mm > 250mm (Double repair)). NOTE: External Doubler is permited for damaged area. If the temporary repair is considered acceptable, could the AIB provide us the RDAS Number in advanced? Our New Reference for issue the RDAS: MS/ST /01. Engenharia

14 Engenharia REPAIR FEEDBACK PAGE 14
Our new Reference: MS/ST /01 and MS/ST /02 Your reference: /005, /008 and /011 In response to message ref /008 and /011: AIRBUS request: Additional HFEC inspection (NTM ) of STGR25 close to both damages. Replacement of the two fasteners in dent damage 4 if damaged. ONE answer: Performed HFEC on the affected surface, cleat FR23 and STRG25 in accordance with NTM A-01 PB 6 and NO CRACK FOUND. Removed two (2EA) fasteners on affected area as per A320 SRM Enlarged the holes to their final diameter (3/16”) as per A320 SRM Performed the countersink the fastener holes Chapter 51−44−11. Perform a detailed visual inspection (DVI) on the internal and external surface and on the cleat frame and NO DISCREPANCY FOUND. Performed rototest inspection in holes as per A320 NTM and NO CRACK FOUND. Perform surface protection in c´sink and holes I.A.W. A320 SRM and SRM Performed wet assembly of the fasteners I.A.W. A320 SRM Performed installation of the fasteners I.A.W. A320 SRM Performed restored surface protection in accordance with SRM NOTE: Could the AIB provide us a Permanent Repair Design from Airbus, to be accomplished within 3000FC? If the temporary repair is considered acceptable, could the AIB provide us the RDAS Number in advanced? Our New Reference for issue the RDAS: MS/ST /02. Engenharia
