1. Developing Film
To develop your exposed film, you need to transfer the film from the film cassette into the light-proof processing tank. This needs to be done in complete darkness, as your film is still sensitive to light.

4. Step 3: Open Film 1.
1. Feel inside the bag and find the film and opener. Pop the top off the film and pull the film out of the canister, which will be connected to a spool.
2. Cut the lead end of the film off. Be sure to cut it straight. 2.

5. Step 4: Load Film onto Reel
Feel around your reel and locate “The Vampire Teeth”. Make sure they are lined up across from each other. Place the flat end of your film under the “Vampire Teeth” and pull the film through the reel, past the two little silver balls.
Rotate your reel back and forth until the film is loaded.
Once your film is wound onto the spool, cut the end of the film and the spool.

6. Step 5: Put the Film into the Tank
Place the loaded reel onto the black tube.
Put the reel/tube into the tank.
Twist on the funnel lid until it clicks. Your film is now secure in the light tight tank and you can take it out of the bag.
The flat lid is to hold in the chemistry.

Wash
Wetting Agent
Dry

8. Step 1 of Developing
Mix a ratio of 1:7 of Kodak HC-110 developer concentrate and water.
You will need 1 unit of developer to 7 units of water.
Your film tank with 2 rolls of film will need 560ml of water at 20°c and 80 ml of developer concentrate.
Measure each in separate beakers, then mix.
Add mixed liquid to your film tank.
Squeeze the flat lid in place.

9. Step 1 Development, con’t
Develop for 100-ISO for 8 mins & 400-ISO for 6.5 mins
Agitate for the first 1 minute continuously.
Tap the tank gently to release air bubbles.
Every 30 seconds of the remaining time, agitate for 5 seconds.
Empty the chemistry down the drain. Do not take off the funnel lid!

10. Step 2 of Film Development STOP BATH
Fill your tank with Stop Bath.
600ml or until its full and you see the liquid bubble through the hole in your tank.
Agitate for 30 seconds
Return the stop to the bottle.

11. Step 3 of Film Development FIX
Fill your tank with diluted fixer.
It should be mixed for you, but if not it is a ratio of 1:4. One unit of fixer concentrate and 4 units of water.
100ml of fixer and 400ml of water to make a working solution.
Pour diluted fixer into your tank for 3 mins.
Agitate for the first minute, then every 30 seconds until the remaining 2 minutes are finished.
Return fix to bottle.

12. Step 4 of Film Development WASH
Your film can now come out of the tank. It is safe to be exposed to light.
Wash your film in running water for 15mins

13. Step 5 of Film Development WETTING AGENT
Add 2 drops of wetting agent to a tank filled with water.
Dunk your film, still on the reel, in and out of the soapy solution for 30 seconds.
Do not rinse.

14. Step 6 of Film Development DRY
Take your film off the reel
With clean fingers, run your two fingers down the film to remove excess suds and water.
Hang to dry

15. Step 7 of Film Development CLEAN UP!!
All components of your tank need to be cleaned.
Rinse all parts in hot water.
Stack to dry.
Gather all bags, spools, canisters, and equipment and return to rightful place.

16. Step 8 of Film Development FILM STORAGE
Cut your film into the correct number of frames for your negative sleeve.
For instance, 5 frames per strip.
Slide into negative carrier emulsion side down (shiny side up)
All should face the right direction, numbers in order.
Store in a large binder or box to keep them safe and free of dust and damage.
