So my plan is to not overwhelm you further with too much info, but rather to simply share a few key details that you really do need to know, and challenge you to pick an area of focus or two in regards to The Rotary Foundation and your club

In , The Rotary Foundation will celebrate its 100th anniversary. The centennial festivities will begin at the 2016 convention in Seoul and end with a celebration at the 2017 convention in Atlanta.
All Rotarians are invited to join in this year of celebration. Clubs can organize centennial events to share our Foundation’s many successes with their communities. You can also continue the Foundation’s tradition of Doing Good in the World by supporting and participating in global and district grant projects. Or you can honor the Foundation’s history by contributing to the Annual Fund, the Endowment Fund, the PolioPlus Fund, or the Rotary Peace Centers.
In 1917, the seeds of the Foundation were planted with a call to action from the Rotary president and a contribution of $ Today, The Rotary Foundation has $1 billion in assets and an impressive record of improving millions of lives.

8. END POLIO NOW…ALONG WITH BILL AND MELINDA GATES!
Rotary’s own financial support for PolioPlus will be magnified by an agreement with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
From 2013 to 2018, every $1 that Rotary commits in direct support of polio immunization (up to $35 million per year) will be matched by an additional $2 from the Gates Foundation. This means contributions to Rotary’s PolioPlus program will have three times the impact.

A great way to leave a legacy
Gifts to the Endowment Fund are held in perpetuity as part of an endowment. They are professionally invested, with a portion of the earnings used each year for purposes specified by the Trustees and the donors.
The Endowment Fund offers donors a way to create their own lasting legacy through Rotary.

The Every Rotarian, Every Year effort encourages Rotarians to participate in their Foundation by volunteering for service activities and contributing to the Annual Fund each year.
Contributions to the Annual Fund support the Foundation’s grants and programs through the SHARE system. Contributions are credited to the individual donor and the donor’s club, and they are counted toward the club’s and district’s Annual Fund goals.

28. RECURRING GIVING: ROTARY DIRECT
One of the easiest and most secure ways for us to support our Foundation is through Rotary’s recurring giving program, Rotary Direct. Select an amount, frequency (monthly, quarterly or annually), and contribution method that is convenient for you.
Enrollment is integrated with the Foundation’s secure online contribution system and is available in multiple currencies.
