Learn Enjoy Achieve Respect Nurture Richmond News Towers Drive, Hinckley, Leicestershire LE10 0ZD Telephone (01455) Fax ( ) Head Teacher: Ms C J Munton NEWSLETTER 29 26th April 2016 ATTENDANCE Well done to 5AS who achieved 100% attendance last week and to FRM and 2JC who achieved 99.3%. Whole school attendance last week was 98%. FASHION SHOW Richmond PTA are holding a ladies fashion show & pop up shop on Thursday 19th May at 7pm. High street brands such as M&S, Wallis, Next etc are available to try on and buy. Tickets are available from the school office at £3.50 per ticket. YEAR 2 ASSESSMENT As many of you know, we have to report the teacher assessments for children in Year 2 to the LA and DFE as part of our statutory responsibilities. These are tests that we can use to support the teacher assessments. Children in Year 2 will take these tests during May in preparation for us finalising our teacher assessments which will be submitted at the end of June. FIRST TIME ADMISSIONS County Hall have issued first time admissions requests. If you have not been notified please contact allocations at County Hall as soon as possible on BIKE FOR LIFE Please note that Bike for Life finishes on Thursday. There will therefore be no sessions on Friday. Lessons for Group C will start week commencing Monday 16th May from pm. There are currently spaces available for this course. Please contact the school office for further details. Please be aware this is only available for Year 5. YEAR 6 SATS KS2 SATS take place week week commencing 9th May. The children have been working incredibly hard. It is important that they attend throughout the week as they will not be able to take the test at any other time. We have to work to a strict timetable. If you have any questions please contact the Year 6 teachers. RICHMOND PLAYGROUP Richmond Playgroup have vacancies for children aged 3/4 years old available from September. For further details please contact Mrs Bates on CAR PARK For the safety of children, could we please ask parents not to use the staff car park between pm. Alternative parking is available at Green Towers or Morrisons car parks PHONICS PARENTS EVENING Parents of Year 1 pupils are invited to a Phonics Check parents evening on Friday 29th April, 9.00am-10.00am in the KS1 Hall and 3.30pm-4.30pm in the Year 1 classrooms.

HINCKLEY JUNIOR CHOIR Hinckley Area Junior Voices will be hosting an open rehearsal on Tuesday 26th April at John Cleveland College from 4.15pm to 5.15pm. Please contact for further details. PARKING ON TOWERS DRIVE A reminder to parents that Towers Drive and roads leading off Towers Drive should not be used to park cars whilst using the school site. Separate letters are being sent home today. If you have any concerns or do not wish your child to take part, please contact the Clinic Referrals Department on MAY BANK HOLIDAY School will be closed on Monday 2nd May for the bank holiday and re-open on Tuesday 3rd May.
