1 Interactive Spanish Notebook

2 What IS it?? An interactive Spanish notebook (ISN) is your own personalized JOURNAL of learning about Spanish A portfolio of your work in ONE convenient spot. This is great for studying for upcoming quizzes & test A great ORGANIZATIONAL tool that gives you permission to be CREATIVE in your responses without "messing up" your notes.

6 Warm-ups: Your warm-up is either on the whiteboard or on a PowerPoint.
It acts as a review before we start class. It should be completed within the first FIVE minutes of class! Include la fecha (the date) and the warm up question each day

- a picture of you - your birthday - hobbies, sports, activities you like to do - pictures of things that describe YOU (photos, magazine cut outs, clip art, drawings) Creating your Author page

11 Starting with the 1st page, number the first 50 pages
Starting with the 1st page, number the first 50 pages. You will have to eventually number all of the pages in your notebook. Numbers should be small and at the bottom outside corner of every page. Getting Started Step 2 1 2

13 Left Side – Right Side Orientation
The Left side is “left” for you. This is the side that you can use to show me your creativity. The Right side is “Restricted” and contains teacher guided notes. Nothing else should be placed on the Right side!!

No DOODLING that doesn’t relate to Spanish Notebook should be used for SPANISH CLASS ONLY - BE COLORFUL & LOVE YOUR NOTEBOOK

17 Notebook Grading Notebooks will be graded at the end of each marking period and will count as A TEST!

18 Notebook Grading I will see your notebook at the end of each marking period. I will evaluate the entire notebook and give a grade based on the quality, completeness, appearance, and organization. All class notes and notebook assignments should be included, even for the days you were absent. It is your responsibility to get all the information you missed!

19 Notebook Grading An important of part of your notebook is its visual appearance. The notebook serves as a demonstration of your learning throughout the marking period. Your notebook should be neat, every entry should be titled, and every entry must have a date and page number. Your artistic touch should be visible through out the notebook.

23 Grading Rubric Sub-Standard Notebook - 65% (D)
Many notes and vocabulary are inaccurate, incomplete, and or messy Few or No notebook assignments are accurate, complete, and neatly organized Most assignments are incomplete, messy, or do not follow directions

24 Final Note Your notebook is a tool for you to use in Spanish class.
