Homework 1: Improving sentences 1) Use the link to re-cap your knowledge: The boy climbed up the stairs. This sentence can be changed by adding an adverb: The boy climbed cautiously up the stairs. Adverbs are ‘ly’ words that tell you how something is done. How many can you think of? It can also be changed by adding an adjective: The terrified boy climbed cautiously up the stairs. 2) List as many adjectives and adverbs as you can.
