Escapism: The act of escaping the realities of everyday life and problems. Propaganda: information of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view Film Noir: A movie characterized by low key lighting, a bleak, urban setting, and corrupt, cynical characters. The Oscars: Awards given out once a year for the Best of the Best in film. Also known as an Academy Award
