4. How to use this PowerPoint File
Read the Awards Eligibility & Judging Criteria
Add required text, graphics, photos, video, and or audio to the relevant slides.
Video and audio files can be embedded or added as a link to YouTube file
Save the Powerpoint File. Follow the naming conventions listed in this document when uploading to avoid a delay in your application processing.
Save each entry as a separate PPT file. Only one entry per PPT file.
Complete On-line application and payment: Register and submit your payments on-line via the Brass Ring Awards registration site.
Upload your media – Once you have completed and submitted the application, you will receive a link to upload this PPT file and any related media files.

5. Eligibility and Judging Criteria
Eligibility Criteria:
Only members of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) in good standing are eligible to compete in the Brass Ring Awards 2017 for Live Entertainment Excellence Program. All entries must have been made for or running in an IAAPA member facility between September 2016 and August 2017 using performers working during that same time frame. Short-term, seasonal shows will be considered along with productions that are presented on an on-going basis. There will be no distinction between contract or turn-key shows and “in-house” productions. All entries become the property of IAAPA and will not be returned.
Judging Criteria:
Individuals will be evaluated based upon quality of talent, stage presence, character personality, and personal appearance. Productions will be evaluated based upon show content, quality of talent, technical and design quality, and overall production value. A panel of entertainment professionals will evaluate all entries. Each entry will be judged based upon the criteria given, as well as overall excellence and creativity. Judges decisions are final

What do I actually need to submit?
Submissions in categories for individuals (Best Performers or Spirit Award) must include a link to a 2-3 minute testimonial/introduction of the nominated individual. (Category 1 - )
Submissions in categories for events or attractions that are not “staged” (i.e Halloween haunts) must include a link to a 5-8 minute video montage. (Category 4 – 5)
Submissions in categories for show productions must include a link to a video of the full show. (6 – 15)
All videos should be uploaded onto YouTube as Unlisted (only accessible by using a discreet link)

10. Saving Your Presentation

It really important that we can easily locate your entry amongst that hundreds that we receive each year. Please use the following name format to name your files:

For example, if the Really Great Park is entering it’s Fantastic Show in the Most Creative Atmosphere/StreetShow category. They would save the file as:

Entries must be received by IAAPA no later than close of business August 1, Notification of receipt of the application will be acknowledged and finalists will also receive notification when judges have made their decisions. Attendance to the Awards Presentation is open to all.
