characters A character is a person or creature that interacts with others within a story. There are different kinds of characters in stories, and different ways to describe them.

Vocabulary Brainstorming: A group problem-solving technique.
Flattened: to make (something) flat or flatter. Frantically: To behave in an uncontrolled manner. Gracious: Being kind, thoughtful and aware of others.

Vocabulary Muttered: Make complaining remarks or noises under one‘s breath Original: Something that is unique and different in a positive way. Stale: No longer good or appealing : no longer fresh.

Each kind of sentence ends with its own special punctuation mark. Let's look at each of these sentences.
