Christ our example knew God’s will; his faith shown by obedience to God’s will; never compromised truth although tried many times; showed friendliness; never made an enemy because He was unfriendly, although He had enemies because He didn't compromise truth
To help the cause of Christ follow His example
If we don’t follow His word we will lose our own soul and cause someone else to lose theirs
