1 SecureConnect Remote Operator
Product Launch April, 2017

2 Safety Messaging IntelliCENTER ArcShield SecureConnect CENTERLINE
What Products are Safety? IntelliCENTER ArcShield SecureConnect CENTERLINE

3 Complete CENTERLINE Solution
Personnel Safety Four safety elements: INTERACT: IntelliCENTER technology APPROACH: ArcShield SERVICE: SecureConnect CORE: CENTERLINE design Each technology enhances the next!

4 SecureConnect™ Overview
Personnel safety feature that allows operators to disconnect power from a MCC plug-in unit without opening the enclosure door Addresses the growing concern of working inside the arc flash boundary on live equipment Proactively addresses known hazards identified by major safety organizations and standards NEC 2011 IEEE 1584 & C NFPA70E 2012 Provide a safer work environment with SecureConnect

5 SecureConnect Benefits
Reduce electrical shock and exposure to harmful voltages Connect and disconnect unit stabs without having to be exposed to live electrical parts Further mitigates safety risk using our patented multi-point validation system Provides redundant indication for disconnect position Enhanced compliance with NFPA70E Section for your electrical safety program

6 Key Safety Features Stab Housing Shutters
Two sets of shutters for increased electrical isolation Bus cover shutters and stab housing shutters Shutters are only opened when a connection to the Vertical Power Bus is needed Provides additional protection of power stabs when unit is removed from structure Limit switch provides feedback to indicate the shutters are closed Shutters Open Shutters Closed

7 Key Safety Features Power Stab Withdrawal
Series circuit using power stabs in withdrawn position Simple use of continuity to verify electrical power has been completely removed from unit

8 SecureConnect Benefits
Higher availability Electrically isolates the equipment that needs servicing without impact to other operating equipment Helps eliminate unintended downtime caused by troubleshooting electrical faults Reduces the need for live electrical work permits and maintenance by removing voltage from line side of unit Minimal impact to current or future electrical design No impact to space factor of units Apply to select units or all units in MCC line-up No special tools required; a simple ¼” hex driver and socket wrench only Improve safety functionality with no impact on unit size

9 Remote Operator Actuation
To date, the SecureConnect operation could only be accomplished by using a manual ¼” hex driver and socket wrench. On March 31, 2017, the new SecureConnect is available for sale through CBS ArcSafe

10 Remote Operator Development
Over the last year, Rockwell Automation & CBS ArcSafe have cooperated in the development of the SecureConnect Remote Operator tool This type of product is a core competency of CBS ArcSafe (they offer hundreds of products used to remotely extract switchgear, remotely turn handles on and off, etc.). They are recognized as being an industry leader in this market. RA & CBS worked together to attain UL Listing for the product (UL 2876) RA put the product through life cycle testing as well as quality tests Co-developed Remote Operator User Manual and supporting documents
