24 credits Must meet all subject level credit requirements! GPA Minimum 2.0 unweighted Testing Must PASS Grade 10 ELA Reading (350 or higher) OR Earn a concordant score on SAT: EBRW (430) or Rsubscore (24) or ACT Reading (19) Must PASS Alg 1 EOC Get 97 or higher on PERT

Fine Arts 1 credit in fine/performing or approved practical art CCC, Journalism, Digital Info Tech, Design Services, etc. HOPE (or Pers Fitness and PE elective if transfer) Online Course Complete one FULL online course If sign up for 1.0 credit class, must do full 1.0 credit online If sign up for 0.5 credit class, must complete online Gradpoint/APEX DOES count (but must complete full course)

4 Year College/University Requirements
All of the FL graduation requirements AND Algebra 2 2 consecutive years of a Foreign Language (Also BF requirement) Colleges look for RIGOR, should have: Science Math Academic based courses

NCAA Requirements D1 and D2 have different requirements
D1 requirements: 4 years English 3 years Math (Alg 1 and higher) 2 years Science 1 year of additional English, Math, or Science 2 years of Social Studies 4 years of additional courses (any of above and including foreign language, religion/philosophy) 2.30 minimum GPA Graduate from HS

Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success “The Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success was developed to improve the college application process for all students as they search for and apply to their perfect college. The platform provides a single, centralized toolkit for students to organize, build, and refine their applications to numerous institutions.” Fill out one application, can go to multiple schools as long as they partner with Coalition Florida schools who participate: FSU U of Tampa UF Stetson

College Websites Each college has online application on their website Apply as undergraduate, incoming freshman Will need a copy of transcript if required to complete SSAR SSAR is your self reported transcript. This must be accurate or colleges can rescind your acceptance

Steps: Fill out and submit application Send official transcript Official Transcript – complete YELLOW transcript request card and give to Mrs. Smith (located in records) Send SAT/ACT scores directly from online accounts to colleges -> ACT -> SAT, AP Letters of recommendation Only required by some schools-check first Give teachers/recommenders at least 3 weeks to write letter Give a resume/brag sheet to person writing letter Keep your grades up ALL YEAR Colleges will ask for a final transcript, can rescind your acceptance

Where can I find the paperwork? Proposal, hours log, and reflection are all located on our school website futures Forms are at top of webpage, print them If you have any questions about volunteer sites, contact your counselor Recommended you keep a copy of your hours log as well as submit one to your counselor

How to check if your hours have been submitted? Go to graduation tab on Portal and look at Community Service Hours If nothing is listed, they have not been submitted! Submit your hours logs ASAP to your counselor! Your hours need to be recorded in portal to be eligible for the scholarship Hours are due before graduation date! Submit early! Application opens October 1st Apply as soon as possible, even if don’t meet all qualifications yet then click application upper left hand side of page

Bright Futures Evaluations
BF conducts two evaluations your senior year once you submit an application Early evaluations Conducted in February and will assess only credits, hours, test scores you have earned to that point Most will show ‘not eligible’ after early evaluations Final evaluations Conducted in June/July This is the final evaluation and will determine eligibility based on final GPA, SAT/ACT scores, and community service hours submitted Can check award amount and eligibility status on BF account once submit application
