The Djembe is made from goat skin and wood is hollowed out to make the drum. Although now a days modern drums can be made from most materials. They are both tied together really tightly so it makes it sealed.

Djembes are used for African drumming. It is very important to some people. The Djembe wasn't always used for music it used to be for ceremonial purposes. They were used to encourage warriors heading into battle. It comes from the mail emperor of west Africa.
