2 Heat up: make something hot
Example: I heat up my hands near the fire Keep down : have the costs in the minimum. Example: We can´t buy that, we should keep costs down.

3 Put up: build new buildings
Example: They are putting up a new mall Pull down : Demolish a building. Example : They are pulling down the flat in front of my house

4 Pick up: Collect someone or something for a place, it could be by a vehicle.
Example: My mother picked up us yesterday from school. Pick up: lift from a lower position Example: Can you pick up my trousers that are on the floor?

5 Let down: Disappoint someone.
Example: I failed a test and I let my father down. Turn up: to increase Example : I will turn up the music , it’s so low.

6 Fill up: fill something completely.
You have to fill up all the glasses, people have drunk everything settle down: to relax, calm down. After a exciting day, I settled down on the sofa to rest.

7 Turn down: to refuse I never turn down a job offer. Tidy up: clean the mess I never tidy up my room and my mum gets mad at me.

8 Do up : to decorate I do up my hose because I am having a party Take down: remove After the party I took down decorations

9 Wrap up: to cover with special paper
