4. High School Swimming
Tryouts will be held during the week of August 14th – 18th
The high school team will be split into Varsity and Junior Varsity squads to enable us to keep the maximum amount of athletes.
- Varsity will comprise of between swimmers (per team)
- Junior Varsity will cap out at 20 swimmers (total)
Practices will run from 7:00am – 9:00am every morning
- Still examining how to best utilize time to include weight room training

5. Middle School Swimming (Proposed)
Fall Semester
Developmental time where we can focus on building proper technique and focus on legal turns, racing starts and relay starts in anticipation for the spring season
Goal is to be able to keep everyone interested gaining experience in the sport of swimming.
Spring Semester
Tryouts for the Willow Spring Swim Team will be held for the competitive team for the spring season (dates to be determined)
Overall goal is to have at least one intersquad meet in both the fall and spring as well as meets against other middle school programs in the DFW area.

6. Necessary Paperwork
In order to participate in sports at Lovejoy ISD athletes need to have an annual physical on file. The following will need to be on file with the trainers before athletes are able to practice or compete.
Physical Packets (Orange Packet at Athletic Directors office, Little Red School house or Front office at school)
Online forms (
IMPACT test (for concussion protocol (every two years))
Sports Physical and Cardiac testing will be at Willow Springs on Saturday July 22nd. To participate fill out the following survey
Cost for the physical will be $20
Cost for the cardiac testing will be $15
