Esteemed classmates,
The Quiz scheduled for Feb. 7th has been moved to Feb. 12th and the Quizzle scheduled for Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, has been cancelled. This should give you more time to prepare for the comprehensive quiz and allow a more joyous celebration with your Valentine sweethearts!
The Quiz on next Tuesday, Feb. 12th, will cover material from The Early Renaissance in Italy (in lecture 3 and Chapter 19) through Renaissance Art in 15th Century Italy III (lecture 8 and chapter 21). Study and review those 5 lectures and 3 chapters and drill yourself so you know that material. The quiz will be at the beginning of class and will consist of 6 slides shown for 2 and a half minutes each. You should know the artist, subject (including symbolism), culture, date, intent, and stylistic means of each. There's a lot to master, so start early and get very familiar with those artists! Make friends of them and curl up with them at night so you'll be "among friends" on the quiz.
