Homework On a daily basis, unfinished classwork is homework and must be completed by the following school day. You will occasionally receive other homework assignments including projects. Incomplete homework will negatively affect your grade for the marking period. If work is missing, it will be marked as “missing” in genesis. Put a check next to your name to indicate that you are out of the room. Only one boy and one girl may be at the restroom at once. Quickly and quietly return to your seat and continue working. Excessive use of the bathroom will result IN a parent contact to make sure you are okay.

Water Procedures Drink water in the morning before 8:25 a.m.
You may get a drink in the classroom without asking. You may go during independent work time only. Do not get up while someone is speaking! Walk quietly to the water fountain. You may bring a water bottle to class as long as it does not become a distraction.

When someone is called on, put your hand down and listen to what is being said. When someone is speaking, including Ms. Melyan-Bratton, keep your hand down. I will always ask if there are questions during a lesson. If you are afraid you will forget, you can quietly take out a piece of notebook paper and write down your question. Remember – you can be called on at any time. If Ms. Melyan-Bratton asks a question, be prepared to TRY to answer.
