The style derives its name from the title of a Monet work, Impression, soleil levant (Impression, Sunrise)

Enclosure – Better food supply Factory system More variety of products people could afford Inventions move communications global and at the speed of light Light bulbs light up homes and cities increasing business up to 24 hours less fires and pollution New Steel process and elevators allow for sky Scrapers and stronger ships Trains provide transcontinental transportation Steam Boats (Titanic) move people across oceans and no longer rely on wind. Many will start small business pursuit of happiness!!! Many feels he can overcome the natural world Con- Enclosures break up family farms Factory system replaces cottage industry ( breaks up families) Factory System (problems we known Urbanization - City overcrowding, sanitation, Tenement housing, pollution, crime New art in response to industrialization Titanic sunk Uneven distribution of wealth Rise of Marx Nature seems to always win!!
