Level 2 Cambridge Technical Certificate Sport and Physical Activity

Has exactly the same value as a GCSE qualification
A qualification that is suitable for pupils with a talent and/or interest in sport. (exceptional levels of ability in sport are not in any way essential!) 3 additional lessons of PE each week above your core PE allocation of 1 lesson each week (most of the time, 2 of these additional lessons will be classroom based) Assessments will be on the written coursework & projects you complete and you will also sit two exams over the 3 year course. The marks you get for your coursework will be added to the marks you get in your exams give your final grade. (exams can be repeated)

What will be studied? ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY OF THE HUMAN BODY
4 UNITS WILL BE STUDIED OVER YEARS 9,10 AND 11 2 UNITS INVOLVE PRACTICAL WORK WHICH INCLUDES WRITTEN COURSEWORK & 2 UNITS ARE THEORY BASED WORK ASSESSED THROUGH EXAMS CONTENT ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY OF THE HUMAN BODY FACTORS THAT AFFECT PARTICIPATION IN SPORT THE EFFECTS OF EXERCISE ON THE BODY SPORTS INJURIES, PREVENTION & TREATMENT EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES IN SPORTS LEADING SPORTS ACTIVITIES and more!!!

Sports Centre Manager Leisure Attendant Sports Development Officer PE Teacher / Lecturer Lifeguard Sports Nutritionist Sport & Exercise Scientist Physiotherapist/ Team Doctor Sports Journalism/ Reporter Sport Photographer Army Officer Royal Navy Officer Sports Shop Assistant Sports Agent Sports Analysist This is an excellent course that can lead onto post 16 Sports courses at our 6th form and other colleges that can then enable you to gain employment in the sport sector or study sport at university.
