1. XT Camera Firmware Update Process
To update the camera firmware you will first need to upload the existing data from the camera through the Monitor or Monitor and Calibration service functions in Upload XT. This will ensure that no client data is lost due to the firmware update process. The camera should be connected to the computer via the USB cable. Wait 20 seconds and make sure the camera is recognized by the computer. Click on “Service” and in the Drop down menu click on “XT Camera Application Standard”

The camera application will now open as seen below. Make note of the current firmware version.

Click on the “Settings” tab to bring up the setting options.

Look at the Date/ Time box to ensure its accuracy.

If the time was incorrect you can set it by clicking the “Set to PC” button. Make sure the time zone is set to the USA (New York) setting. Also, if the clock on your PC is incorrect this incorrect time will be set to your unit.

6. XT Camera Firmware Update Process
You can now click on the “Update” button under firmware to begin the update process. A popup screen will come up indicating that the firmware update is in progress. During this time do NOTHING at your computer until this process is completed. This process should take around 5 minutes. If the firmware update fails the camera will no longer be functional and have to be swapped out. Make sure you have cameras in stock before attempting this process! When the yellow box closes the update is complete and can be verified by looking at the firmware version in the camera application screen it should read 0.50.
