The Church Why would the Scientific Revolution be troubling to the Church? If the stars and the Earth move it challenges the idea that God created the universe in a perfect and everlasting way If the Earth is not the center of the universe, we are not as special as we thought If we can explain the world without God, people will not want to be religious anymore – Church will lose power What do you think the Church will do to protect their power?
