How YOU Can Become a Leader in Pharmacy

2 What is LDS? LDS is the ultimate leadership experience
4 days of leadership workshops Over 350 Brothers in attendance More than 30 alumni Brothers as facilitators Many of the LDS attendees are officers from their own Phi Delta Chi Chapters and are great peer resources. LDS attendees keep in touch well beyond LDS and motivate each other towards success throughout their pharmacy career. Members of the PLEI Board of Directors include John Grabenstein (who led the charge for pharmacy immunization programs), Nancy Alvarez (APhA President), Ralph Saroyan (Phi Delta Chi’s Grand Poobah), Gary Keil, Michael Negrete, are some of our most influential alumni Brothers.

3 Why is LDS Special? Phi Delta Chi is the only professional pharmacy fraternity to offer a week-long leader-development program Emphasize this point: Phi Delta Chi’s commitment to professional development and leadership sets us apart from other fraternities. This may be a good talking point during rush season.

4 Where is LDS held? LDS is held in a different city every 2 years
In 2016, LDS was held in St. Louis, MO Grand Council occurs during odd-numbered years LDS occurs during even-numbered years

5 Who is PLEI? Pharmacy Leadership and Education Institute
Phi Delta Chi’s not-for-profit foundation, 501(c)(3) charitable organization Established to: Develop leadership skills of pharmacists and pharmacy students Provide scholarships and other forms of aid to enable and support scholastic work Promote lifelong learning and continuing education for patients and professionals Act as servant leaders to the profession of pharmacy and society
