Academic Plan We will have daily grade checks to determine how our students are performing in the classroom. We will have MANDATORY tutorials on Thursday afternoons at 4:00pm for all varsity players and Friday morning at 7:45am for all freshman and JV players that have a grade lower than 75 in any class. During this time we will ask staff from each department at PHS to come help our students. We will begin tutorials the week of Monday September 5. During the fourth week of school we will also be implementing “Eagle Schedule” which will serve as an additional tutorial time. Academics come first. We will always allow a student/athlete the opportunity to go to a teacher for tutorials during meeting times. All of us share in the responsibility to help our students be successful. (Student, Teacher, Sponsor, Parent) We would rather be PROACTIVE than REACTIVE when it comes to our students academic success!!

Expectations of the Coach
To have a genuine care and concern for your son To always be fair and honest with your son To coach your son hard To treat your son with the respect that he deserves To expect your son to be the best he can be in the classroom, in the community, and on the field To hold your son accountable if he does not meet expectations

Expectations of the Athlete
To strive for greatness in the classroom, in the community, and on the field To be an Eagle first, a football player second, and position player third To play multiple sports To be a leader in the classroom, in the community, and on the field To love his teammates and trust his coaches

Practice Expectations
To be at practice everyday If you are not at practice to contact the appropriate coach prior to your absence. Varsity-Schmidt, JV- Moore, and Freshman-Ryan Unexcused absences will result in loss of playing time. Three unexcused absences will result in a parent/player/coach meeting and possible dismissal from the program Examples of unexcused absences include birthdays, haircuts, vacations, concerts, etc. JV and Varsity teams will have practice on days we don’t have school…plan accordingly We are planning on having practice the week of Thanksgiving…that would be the 3rd round of the playoffs…plan accordingly

Your Private Coach Why does your private coach do what he does?
Would he be your sons private coach for $6.37 per hour? What is his motivation? We love the idea of your son getting extra work Don’t tell us what your private coach said. His motivation is financial. He does not care about your son the way we do. He does not know our system
