9 Classroom Procedure Students are expected to be in their seats at the time of the bell. When the bell rings students will begin with their journals/bell ringers. Your journal is expected to be with you each day in class. You will need to bring your own notebook journal; I expect that its use will be limited to health class only. Your journal will be checked periodically.

10 Lecture/Note Taking/Discussion
Students will be required to take notes on new material learned. Taking notes is an expectation when necessary along with journal writing. Writing what is discussed in class in your own words is valuable for effective learning. Students will also be expected to participate in whole class or group discussion.

11 Rules All schools rules will apply as outlined in the student handbook
No Cell Phones/ Electronics Students must be seated before the tardy bell rings and remain seated unless instructed to do otherwise. Talking will not be tolerated unless you have been given permission (possibly for classroom discussion or group activities). Students should use the restroom before class and only in an emergency during class. No food will be allowed in class. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. Treat classmate with proper level of respect.

15 What is healthy living? Healthy living is designed to give you the knowledge and skills needed to increase personal wellness. Wellness- An overall state of well-being or good total health.
