1 Spanish class 2016-2017 Hispanic culture Project Mrs. Rogers
Jacksonville Commons middle school

2 What are we going to do? Our second project: Discovering Hispanic culture. Each student will select a Spanish Speaking country. They will research the most important cultural aspects. They will prepare a presentation and share their finding with the class.

3 CONTENT Main information of the selected country: Economy: Food:
Map Population Currency Language: explain the dialect and specific sounds. Terms, colloquialisms and phrases they may have (translate them) Culture: Festivals and main celebrations (how people participate) Music and artists. National costume Economy: Type of resources they have Product they export. Food: Typical dishes. Special dishes. Street food.

4 ORGANIZATION Every Friday we work on research and presentation. We will work for at least 4 consecutive Fridays until presentations. Students must work at home to complete the content. Every week we will have a presentations. Students will fill up a PASSPORT with the information presented. By the end of the presentation students will have a PASSPORT with the main information of many Spanish Speaking countries.
