Strategy found in TURBO POWER Program Description
TURBO POWER strategy Strategy found in TURBO POWER Program Description Includes applied research transition to a sustainable energy society renewable fuels polygeneration (combinates) e.g. for transport fuels production focus on results commercialisation, industry exports PhD students and senior researchers/ post docs more women in the program Sven Gunnar Sundkvist TURBO POWER
7
Objective of TURBO POWER
TURBO POWER will contribute to a sustainable and efficient energy system in Sweden in medium term and long term view. This will be accomplished by building technology and competence for industry and universities within the field thermal turbomachines and processes. The program will strengthen relevant research groups at universities and will enhance the cooperation with industry. The results will be used and commercialised. Sven Gunnar Sundkvist TURBO POWER
8
Research focus Focus on applied research in three main areas
Processes and cycle studies Turbomachinery components (aeroelasticity/aerodynamics, life prediction issues, applied combustion, heat transfer /cooling of hot components) Condition monitoring, maintenance and optimisation Goal is to reach a higher energy usage (efficiency improvements), lower emissions, better operation economy and fuel flexibility, in particular regarding renewable fuels, for thermal turbomachines Sven Gunnar Sundkvist TURBO POWER
