Lines of Latitude: run east and west and measure degrees north and south of the Equator.

Absolute Location: the exact location of a place, given in co-ordinates.
Relative Location: the general location of a place, in relation to some other feature.

17. Time and Space
The earth is divided into 24 time zones of 15° longitude, based on its rotation from west to east every 24h
0° longitude is called Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Time zones east and west of it are progressively 1 h later or earlier, respectively.
180° longitude is called the International Date Line. The date changes by one day on either side of it.

Time Distance: time it takes to travel from one place to another. It depends on the mode of transportation, and has generally dropped in Canada over the years.
