“Songs of our Faith” 2 Timothy 1:1-5
2
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
2 Timothy 1:1-5 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in keeping with the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my dear son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. 4 Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy. 5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.

A Mighty Fortress is Our God verse one
A mighty fortress is our God. A bulwark never failing; Our helper, He amid the flood Of mortal ills prevailing. For still our ancient foe, doth seek to work us woe – His craft and power are great, and armed with cruel hate. On earth is not his equal.
7
A Mighty Fortress is Our God verse two
Did we in our own strength confide, Our striving would be losing, Were not the right man on our side, The man of God’s own choosing. Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He! Lord Sabaoth His name, From age to age the same, And He must win the battle.
8
A Mighty Fortress is Our God verse three
And though this world with devils filled, should threaten to un-do us, We will not fear, for God hath willed, His truth to triumph through us. The prince of darkness grim, we tremble not for him – His rage we can endure, For lo, his doom is sure: One little word shall fell him.
9
A Mighty Fortress is Our God verse four
That word above all earthly powers, No thanks to them abideth, The Spirit and the gifts are ours, through Him who with us sideth. Let goods and kindred go, This mortal life also- The body they may kill; God’s truth abideth still: His kingdom is forever!

Hark! the Herald Angels Sing verse one:
Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King; Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled.” Joyful all ye nations rise, Join the triumph of the skies; With angelic hosts proclaim, “Christ is born in Bethlehem.” Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”
14
Hark! the Herald Angels Sing verse two:
Christ, by highest heaven adored; Christ, the everlasting Lord! Late in time behold Him come, Offspring of the Virgin’s womb. Veiled in flesh the Godhead see, Hail the incarnate Deity, Pleased as man with men to dwell, Jesus our Emmanuel. Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”
15
Hark! the Herald Angels Sing verse three:
Hail, the heaven born Prince of Peace! Hail, the Sun of Righteousness! Light and life to all He brings, Risen with healing in the His wings. Mild He lays His glory by, Born that men no more may die, Born to raise the sons of earth, Born to give them second birth. Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood. This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long.
21
Blessed Assurance verse two:
Perfect submission, perfect delight! Visions of rapture now burst on my sight; Angels descending bring from above Echoes of mercy, whispers of love. This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long.
22
Blessed Assurance verse three:
Perfect submission, all is at rest, I in my Savior am happy and blest; Watching and waiting, looking above Filled with His goodness, lost in His love. This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long.

Hebrews 11:39-12:2 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
