3 CourtNet 2.0 Kentucky Courts are managed out of a single system for the entire State Courtnet 2.0 is used to manage the records for all the State’s judicial records. 120 Counties Courtnet 2.0 makes finding a client’s ticket much easier because you can search the entire State for the criminal and traffic record.

4 Kentucky County attorneys are elected from the citizens for the county they represent County attorneys handle all misdemeanor and traffic cases 99% of all traffic tickets come from state troopers Thus, all tickets are computer generated and consistency across counties is almost identical as it comes to the actual distribution of traffic tickets. However, County attorneys manage their own kingdoms and have different philosophies on amending or not amending tickets.

5 Kentucky Different Philosophies Include a Mixture of the Following Bag: County Attorney Traffic School (CATS) – not for CDL drivers Equipment Diversion No Masking for CDL drivers Kentucky State Traffic School Communication Rarely allow telephone negotiation but allow attorney to plea verbally without a signed plea in absentia.

6 Ohio Ohio is managed by individual jurisdictions.
It is one of the two states in the United States to have Mayor’s Court. 88 Counties Within Ohio, traffic tickets are equally distributed by State Troopers and Local Police Officers.

7 Ohio County Prosecutors, City Law Directors, and Part-Time Private Attorneys acting as Prosecutors or Magistrates manage the misdemeanor and traffic cases. Every jurisdiction has it’s own website for housing misdemeanor and traffic cases Many Mayor’s Courts don’t have anything on-line Many jurisdictions allow for telephone pretrial but many don’t. Those that don’t allow a telephone pretrial normally require a signed plea in-absentia.

Equipment Lower Speed No amendments what-so-ever A few will not allow amendments for CDL drivers what-so-ever A very few jurisdictions will allow an on-line class Much fewer require an on-site class.

AVVO directory for specific counties New strategy is direct marketing with letters for counties that allow telephone pretrials.
